Hey Girls!!

A big hello to all of you wonderful pro-life-feminist girls out there!! Thanks for visiting our blog!! We can't wait to start blogging about all of the wonderful pro-life stuff we find!! Before we begin, we'd like to explain the very basics of this blog, why we've chosen life.

Abortion is an incredibly difficult issue, and understandably a lot of people don't like to talk about it. Those who do tend get into arguments where they begin to steamroller over each-other's opinions and beliefs. But whether we like it or not, thousands of abortions are happening each day. And that's something should not be ignored.

First of all, let me begin by saying that even if we disagree drastically on abortion, I still absolutely respect you as a person, and I in no way hate you or disregard your feelings based on your moral standpoint on this particular issue. However, I'm obviously not going to agree, and here's why.

I believe that life starts at conception. Think about it. What was the *most* defined point in the first year of your life (and by life, I mean conception and forward)? Was it birth? Well no, because you were there before birth. You had a heartbeat and moved your hands and feet and listened to your mother's voice. Nothing really changed from the second before you were born to the second after.

Was it when your heart started beating? No, I don't believe so, you were physically there before that. Was it when you could feel pain? Again, no. Was it at conception? Yes. Again, think about this for a minute here. One millisecond, you don't exist. And then the next millisecond, BAM. There you are. You now have your own gender, hair color, eye color, fingerprint and unique DNA code. If left to your own devices you will continue to grow, be born, live and die. This, to me, proves that life begins at conception.

If I truly believe that life begins at conception, I cannot condone abortion. I can't say that it's right or okay and I can't stand by and watch others say that it is.

Another thing a lot of people ignore is the anti-woman aspect of abortion. If the best society has to offer pregnant women is the death of their child, then we have failed to meet the needs of women. Abortion disregards what women really want - which is not be in a crisis pregnancy situation. First of all, if you do not want to have a child, then you should not be involved in baby-making activities.  I don't ridicule women who have sex before they're ready to have and raise a child, but I don't understand why they do it. If you were raped, that is a whole other situation.  You did nothing wrong, and you didn't ask, nor want to be in this situation.  But, at the same time, this child growing inside of you doesn't deserve the death penalty, just like you didn't deserve to be raped. If you were raped, someone took control of your sexuality without your permission, and that was wrong.  If you have an abortion, you're taking control of someone's life without their permission, and that's wrong, too.

Women need supportive (of both mother and child), nonviolent and loving solutions to unwanted and or unplanned pregnancies. Abortion is an injustice to women, children, and our society.

We believe women deserve better than abortion, and we hope you will join us in the feminist fight to end abortion!

Love,
Madison and Zoe

Pro-Life Quotes From Feminist Leaders!

As girls and women, it can sometimes seem like we got the short end of the evolutionary stick. Only a couple hundred years ago, we were viewed as property. Now, thanks to our hardworking feminist leaders, we are generally viewed as equal to men, but we still have to deal with discrimination in the workplace, over-sexualization, the pressure to look "perfect", not to mention constantly being compared to photoshopped images of models in magazines, catalogues and on commercials.

But by having abortions, letting abortionists take control of your bodies and offspring, you are hurting yourself, your unborn child, and society as a whole.

Because the more abortions that happen, the more it's viewed as right, normal and okay.

And we know it's not.

Here are some quotes from our feminist foremothers, credits to Feminists for Life of America (http://www.feministsforlife.org/who/aboutus.htm)

Mattie Brinkerhoff

"When a man steals to satisfy hunger, we must safely conclude that there is something wrong in society - so when a woman destroys the life of her unborn child, it is an evidence that either by education or circumstances she has been greatly wronged."

Victoria Woodhull

The first female presidential candidate was a strong opponent of abortion.

"The rights of children as individuals begin while yet they remain the foetus."

"Every woman knows that if she were free, she would never bear an un-wished for child, nor think of murdering one before it's birth."

Mary Wollstonecraft

"Women becoming, consequently, weaker...than they ought to be...have not sufficient strength to discharge the first duty of a mother; and sacrificing to lasciviousness the parental affection...either destroy the embryo in the womb, or cast it off when born. Nature in every thing demands respect, and those who violate her laws seldom violate them with impunity."

Help Spread the Word with Abort 73!

http://www.abort73.com/

Abort73 is a great way to spread the word about what abortion really is! Their t-shirts and merchandise are incredibly powerful, stating the truth about abortion in an honest way.

I plan to buy a bunch of pens and just leave them places. It's an amazing strategy, really, because flyers and pamphlets are usually just thrown away, but a pen? C'mon, anyone can use another pen! And the name of the website is great, very intriguing.

There's also this graphic that I found that makes me really, really sad. 41 percent of pregnancies in NYC end in abortion? That's really awful. I mean, we all knew abortion was huge but that's almost half of all babies born!!

Planned Parenthood Mammogram Myth?

Wow, that's a mouthful to say!! Anyway, there's been some interesting inquiries sparked lately about whether or not Planned Parenthood actually does mammograms. In fact, President Obama stated on live TV that they did!! Don't get me wrong, I really love Obama on all issues except abortion, but it was shocking that he would make an untrue statement like that on national TV.

Pretty interesting, huh? Just makes you wonder what else Planned Parenthood is hiding.
